Anxiety has been on the rise for many years with teens. During a pandemic, anxiety can be even more intensified. This can leave families feeling vulnerable and in need of helpful resources.
I wanted to share a resource that I have found to be extremely helpful titled Find Peace from Worry, Panic and Phobias Conquer Anxiety Workbook for Teens by Dr. Tabatha Chansard.
The workbook uses the latest Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness therapies and provides exercises to help control your thoughts, emotions and behaviors that may trigger anxiety. I enjoyed how the workbook was written and broken down. I found the book easy to read and manage for a parent.
Conquer Anxiety Workbook For Teens is broken down into three sections. Part 1, The Truth About Anxiety educates the reader about the different types of Anxiety, myths and truths, panic and how NOT to cope. Part 2 is about Calming the Anxious Mind. In this section are helpful exercises that are quick and easy to do with your teen or alone. Finally, Part 3 is about Calming Your Anxious Body. In this section are helpful and functional exercises to help calm the body.
Please note that this workbook does not replace professional help.
