Tooth Fairy, You Have Some Explaining To Do!

Tooth Fairy, You Have Some Explaining To Do!

Did you ever forget to be the tooth fairy for your child? This is the perfect book for you!

Tooth Fairy, You Have Some Explaining To Do! written by Denise Barry and illustrated by Alejandro Echavez is sweet and unique story about a young child who gets disappointed when the tooth fairy doesn’t come!

The book begins with a young child waking up one morning and realizing that the tooth fairy never came. “My tooth is still here. There’s no money in sight. Did something go wrong in the middle of the night?”

Why didn’t the tooth fairy didn’t come? The child wonders……

Was it something I said or did?

Maybe the door was too heavy?

Was my room too messy?

Maybe there wasn’t enough light in the room?

Finally the young child finds a letter from the tooth fairy and realized that she made a mistake and flew too close the Nova Star. Will the child forgive the tooth fairy?

Gender Fluid Character

This book is even more unique with the gender fluid character that Denise created. Is the child a boy or girl? Read Denise’s blog post about her gender fluid character here.

Discussion Questions

Tooth Fairy, You Have Some Explaining To Do! has excellent discussion questions at the end of the story. These questions are an excellent way to keep the discussion going with the book. Also, every child can relate to losing a tooth and possibly the disappointment when the tooth fairy doesn’t come. I know my kids know that disappointment!
