Space Walk Blog Tour

“One small step for man is one giant leap for friendship.” The Space Walk by Brian Biggs

The Space Walk by Brian Biggs is a story about astronaut Randolph who wants to go a space walk. Before he goes on this special walk, he needs to get certain things done like exercise, eat lunch and clean up the shuttle. When he is on his space walk, he unexpectedly meets a new friend and experiences a variety of emotions. The pictures show the friendship blossoms on each page!

How would you feel if you met an alien? Curious? Scared? Excited? Randolph experiences all of these!

Free Printable!

I love creating carryover activities with picture books. This free printable is ideal for parents of young children (ages 4 and up) to begin some conversations about the book. Focus on the sequencing of the book (first he has to eat, clean and exercise before the walk), emotions of the main character and finally how the book ended. This can also be a wonderful opportunity to learn the responsibilities of an astronaut, space, and new vocabulary.
