Creator of Big Nate, Lincoln Pierce

Lincoln Pierce, creator of the infamous Big Nate comic strip has written and illustrated this fantastic graphic novel titled Max and the Midknights. His work appears in over 400 newspapers worldwide and online at gocomics.com/bignate. Max and the Midknights is his first novel for Crown Books for Young Readers.

About Max

Max is a ten year old apprentice troubadour who dreams of becoming a knight. This graphic novel is full of adventurous text and engaging illustrations, which will keep your child attached to this book from beginning to end! As a review, I wanted the perspective of the review of a tween who loves graphic novels, especially Big Nate. Once my daughter got hold of this book, she didn’t put it down till she was finished.

Tween Review

Max and the Midknights By Lincoln Peirce is a funny adventurous graphic novel. Max, a young girl, wants to become a knight but she is faced with a problem- girls can’t become knights. Max’s uncle gets captured when trying to help Max protect two kids that are homeless. You will never guess what happens to Max’s uncle! Will Max ever ever see her uncle again? Read the book to find out!

If you like big Nate you should read this book! Students from 3rd to 8th grade who like Comics and Graphic novels will enjoy it. You won’t want to put this book down once you start.
